On this somber anniversary, we must all pause to remember the real victim of 9/11: Zohran Mamdani’s aunt. You see, she faced what she perceived to be resentment as she feared wearing her hijab around Manhattan in the wake of the muslim terror attacks in 2001. She was never attacked. She was never verbally accosted. But she felt like some New Yorkers (whose family members had just been murdered by a group of muslims) were potentially going to give her the stink eye. Well, that’s unacceptable. And that’s the real tragedy.
Norm Macdonald famously tweeted “What terrifies me is if ISIS were to detonate a nuclear device and kill 50 million Americans. Imagine the backlash against peaceful Muslims?” He perfectly identified the west’s suicidal empathy problem. He tweeted this banger 10 years ago, clearly annoyed with how the prevailing cultural sentiment was putting religious sensitivities over concern for our own lives. In the 10 years since, woke crazies have increasingly “done the meme”, clutching their pearls over the perceived sentiment of islam when another man violently murders innocent people while shouting “allahuakbar!” It’s unthinkable that people may feel skepticism of a religion that is repeatedly the driving force behind the most gruesome terror attacks that we endure. Whether they’re shooting up gay clubs, steamrolling families with a big rig at Christmas market, or beheading people in the streets, there’s a central theme to all of these horrific attacks that everyone tries to suppress…because we are far more concerned about the potential for anti-islam sentiment. Even today, in the New York Times, itself, they’re focusing their reporting on “islamophobia”, a bizarre rhetorical fabrication that attempts to scold and marginalize people who have a fear of violent people who explicitly state their desire to kill them.
Americans are the most civilized and generous people on earth, so of course we don’t ever want innocent people to suffer, regardless of their religion or ethnicity. We predicate our entire legal system on Blackstone’s Formulation: it is better that ten guilty persons go free than 1 innocent suffer. This is entirely a principle of Jesus Christ. Sir William Blackstone was, of course, a devout Christian who believed that God was the creator of law. All of our founders were Christians, all 13 of our colonies required (and enforced) adherence to Christianity. Christian oaths were a prerequisite to hold office or even vote. America was entirely founded as a Christian country, with Judeo-Christian values, more specifically, Protestant Christian values; even Catholics were barred from voting or holding office. The American Protestant Christian principle of enduring outsized societal harm in order to protect the innocent is a foundational moral code for us, but it’s not without inherent risks. You get what you tolerate.
Whatever perceived excesses in religious profiling that followed the barbaric muslim terror attacks on 9/11, they paled in comparison to the actual tragedy. Sadly, there is an increasing and culturally dominant faction of self-destructive Americans who agree with Norm, but for them…it’s not satire. They are more concerned with Zohran’s auntie’s feelings than the fact that muslim terrorists killed 3,000 innocent people. An additional 6,000 have died since, from cancers developed at ground zero thanks to all the toxic debris…but the real concern is that we don’t want muslims to feel any discomfort or shame. There would be a much more sympathetic argument if we all could agree that 9/11 was an unmitigated tragedy. But…we don’t. 45% of muslims refuse to say the killing of nearly 10,000 innocent Americans was unjustified.
Hasan Piker, the new darling of the democrat party, infamously said that America outright deserved 9/11. Increasingly, even non-muslim liberals hopped up on Zinn and Chomsky believe that 9/11 was justified, calling it “blowback” from the foreign entanglements of generations past. These people don’t see the objective reality that America is the greatest force for good in the history of the world, but worse…they see America as the islamic fundamentalists do: the great satan. This kind of suicidal self-loathing can only lead to disaster, and the virtue signaling about muslim victimhood has morphed into a pathological fetishization of islam, where even the Governor of New York is wearing a hijab out of submission, and the Mayor of the city that was attacked is a radical Twelver Shia muslim who campaigned with one of the un-indicted co-conspirators of the original 1993 muslim terror attack on the World Trade Center. If 9/11 were the opening salvo of a war…who appears to be winning?
25 years ago, 0 muslims held public office in America. Now, it’s 255. Now…should this matter? Well, they don’t hate the perpetrators of 9/11 in the same way we do. They can’t allow themselves to. Ilhan Omar, who fled genocidal violence in Africa that her own father was responsible for, has a disdain for the country that generously gave her refuge from islamic terrorism. She downplays 9/11 by reducing the attacks to “some people did something”, because she is a muslim, and refuses to acknowledge that her tribe was behind it. We could be generous and assume that it’s because she’s so ashamed of the association, she can’t bring herself to confront it, but given her record of America-hating rhetoric, the likely reason is because she’s actually happy that 9/11 happened. Zohran Commie Mamdani, similarly tries hard to erase the terror attack from history. Last night, he tweeted about attending a memorial at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, saying “25 years ago, we bore witness to unimaginable suffering.”
Huh?
No mention of terrorism. We just...”bore witness to unimaginable suffering”. Like it was a natural disaster. Did a hurricane hit NYC on 9/11? What exactly happened on that day, Commie Mamdani? What’s with these foreign-born muslim politicians always conspicuously downplaying 9/11? At least Ilhan Omar acknowledged that people did it. Zohran can’t even do that! He is just a very nasty, spiteful animal. You saw it in that clip where he was yelling over the police like a rabid chihuahua. You see it in his dark, dead eyes when he drops his Manchurian smile. Or when he hands over the pen he used to sign a 9/11 executive order to an attorney who infamously defended terrorists in court; that’s not an accident. It is a deliberate, calculated, and conspicuous FUCK YOU, to all of us, and a signal to jihadis everywhere that while he must put on the suit and cosplay as an American, his ultimate allegiance is to jihad.
This is the darkest anniversary of our nation’s defining tragedy because we all have to suffer the indignity of watching this piece of shit try to erase and rewrite our history, bit by bit. He doesn’t hate the muslim terrorists like we do. It pains him to even address 9/11. You can tell. He doesn’t care. He, like Hasan Piker, thinks we deserved it. It’s shocking to think that this man who wanted to “globalize the intifada” was elected to run the very city that was attacked.
25 years ago, today, we all learned what “globalize the intifada” really means. Well, not all of us. 25 years is a long time, and there are 750,000 voters in New York City who have no memory of muslim terrorists murdering 3,000 people because…they weren’t even alive when it happened. The absence of that pain memory in nearly a million NYC voters is very significant, because it only took 130,000 of those voters to push him over the threshold to get elected.
With the Holocaust, the refrain was always “never again”, with 9/11 we say “never forget”…there’s a reason our reflexive thought in the wake of these unfathomable tragedies is to sear it into our memories; we know what happens when we forget the lessons of history. Some ancestral DNA within us is acutely aware of 2 undeniable truths: wounds are our best teachers…and time heals all wounds. The sad reality is, we do forget. It’s inevitable. If you fall out of a tree, lying there with the wind knocked out of you, the last thing you’re gonna do is scramble back up that tree. Maybe not even after you got your wind back and you’re finishing up the Capri Sun your mom gave you to ease your crying…but next weekend? Your inner Tarzan is back with alacrity. Then maybe you break your arm next time.
Whenever we endure some great tragedy, the lesson we learn from it is most acute when the pain is most acute. But, inevitably, over the course of months and years, as that pain memory fades, so does the urgency of the lesson the pain taught us. As nations go, this is a generational phenomenon. Those of us whose grandparents endured the Great Depression are far more frugal and spendthrift than their Boomer kids are. And we Millennials are far more careless than that. Enduring a horrific event can change your behavior for the rest of your life; you are acutely aware of how things can break bad, and you’ll never fall into the same trap again. But that pain memory doesn’t have the same bite when you pass it on to your kids. Sure, if you repeat the lesson enough times and with enough urgency, they’ll get it…but maybe only 50% of the way you do; hearing about a tragedy simply cannot replicate experiencing it firsthand.
By the time that lesson gets filtered down to the 3rd generation, the sting of that pain memory has been all but diluted to nothing, and the lesson goes with it. Like leaving a cocktail out on the bar top for too long. That first sip stings…puts hair on your chest. By the time that artisanal ice sphere has melted, the sting is gone, and you’re cursing the bartender for plying you with bitter water. If your kid were curious about drinking and you wanted to dissuade him, you’d let him have a sip of that drink fresh out the gate…the pain of it would traumatize him long enough to bat down his curiosity for a good while. But if you let him try that same drink 20 minutes later? Different story. “Hey, this ain’t so bad.” What follows that? What happens when that 3rd pain-free generation no longer has a lesson to pass down?
This is why societies tend to revisit these catastrophes on a predictable timeline. It takes about 80 years for a great civilizational tragedy to repeat itself. If you think about a generation as 20 years, you expect the 2nd generation to have gotten enough of an earful from their traumatized parents that they stave off history for a while; if you can see the pain in the eyes of a combat veteran, it hits you hard enough. But that’s not transferrable. Dad can’t convey the story as well as grandpa did, and that 3rd generation gets a little flirtatious with history. The 4th generation gets no lesson at all.
There is a parallel to this idea known as the Strauss-Howe Generational Theory, made famous by William Strauss and Neil Howe in their 1997 book The Fourth Turning. They broke down this societal cycle by generational phases (turnings), that’s best described by the widely-circulated meme that defines this cycle beautifully: hard times make great men, great men make good times, good times make weak men, weak men make hard times.
We are now 80 years out from World War 2 and the Holocaust, and nearly all of the survivors who endured it are gone. The torchbearers of that earth-shattering tragedy are disappearing, and so, too, is the illumination they provided. Is it surprising, then, to see a sudden resurgence of antisemitism reaching a fever pitch today? Prominent voices inverting the lessons of World War 2, pondering aloud about whether or not the “good guys” won the war? Do you think any of our grandparents would entertain the idea that the Americans were the bad guys, and the Nazis were the victims? Of course not, and they’d probably break Darryl Cooper’s smug nose for even suggesting it. After 80 years, we’ve gone from the Greatest Generation to the Degraded Generation.
For Wolverine, fast wound-healing is a superpower, but for a superpower, fast cultural wound-healing is a death sentence. We get what we tolerate. And while “tolerance” is generally considered a positive trait, it’s destructive when you tolerate intolerance. The hijab is a symbol of female oppression. Should we tolerate that? In Muslim countries, they throw gay people off roofs. Should we tolerate that intolerance? At what point does our cultural generosity erode the very fabric of our society?
Islam is a religion of conquest. They’re not shy about this. They seek to establish a caliphate in the west, and they are using mass migration of military-aged men to overwhelm western Europe. Mosques and islamic communes are being built en masse throughout Texas. Neighborhoods in Michigan are being terrorized by deafening calls to muslim prayer at all hours of the day. Muslims are routinely engaging in conspicuous displays of dominance by praying in public, blocking traffic, disregarding society. They are asserting themselves without compunction, and we are letting them do it because we are so terrified of offending anyone. We are ceding more ground, more authority, and more political power to people who simply are not upset about our nation’s most defining tragedy. The inevitable result of this is predictable. Bad actors are taking advantage of our liberties, empathy, and our generosity of spirit to dominate us, bit by bit. They weaponize our empathy. They cry as the victim as they actively maneuver to secure more power. While Christians are commanded to never lie, muslims have taqiyya, the principle of strategic deception, where you are welcome to lie if it means overcoming the infidel and gaining the upper hand. This is a deliberate Muslim Brotherhood doctrine of “gradualism”. They will lie to you and call you “my friend” right up until the moment the rusty sickle pierces your neck.
This is a common trait between communists and islamists. And these two factions, both aspiring for conquest of the west, have teamed up in an unholy alliance. Scholars impotently call this the “red-green alliance”, which is stupid because it doesn’t convey anything meaningful to anyone. Most people don’t see “green” as the defining color of the jihad, they see it as the color of Prius enjoyers. It’s Communislam. They both seek to destroy our society and remake it in their image. If they ever succeed and ascend to power, the jihadis will slaughter the communists, of course, and everyone knows that. But for now, they both share an immediate goal of destroying America, even if their respective end goals vary wildly. As their interests align, they walk hand in hand, speaking the same language of deception. Charlie Kirk, whose death anniversary we mourned just yesterday…warned of this unholy alliance in a tweet on September 9th of last year, saying bluntly: “Islam is the sword the left is using to slit the throat of America.” The next day, a communist slit his throat with a bullet and killed him.
By the way: Zohran’s aunt was never in New York City. She was in Tanzania. That entire story was a lie.

As a New Yorker reading this column while the litany of the names of the 911 dead plays in the background, I am again ashamed and appalled that so many here elected a jihadist as our mayor.
Islam, with its courts, rules, restrictions, and punishments, is a form of government and completely antithetical to our Constitution. Only when we stop calling it a religion, can we abolish it.
